IT Infrastructure Manager

General

The IT Infrastructure Manager role is to manage infrastructure, security, desktop support and ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.

Positioning

The IT Infrastructure Manager will report to the IT Manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that IT objectives are aligned with the business priorities and group objectives

• Resolve Windows operating system related issues and provide technical advice

• Update and install computer operating systems and other software

• Optimize network hardware and software to enable VMware integration

• Virtualize Windows servers and connect them to networks and clouds

• Troubleshoot and resolve VMware environment issues

• Monitor network infrastructure for performance, availability and security issues of threats

• Design and implement new network solutions and improve the efficiency of current networks

• Install, configure and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

• Minimum 4 years of previous systems and/or server/network management experience

• Experience configuring and managing Hyper-V or VMware vCenter Server

• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)

• Strong technical experience in working with common protocols such as FTP and SFTP

• Demonstrated enterprise active directory/domain controller set up, configuration and troubleshooting experience

• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security

• Experience working with an on-prem environment that is synced to the cloud

• Experience with Azure Cloud is a plus

• MCSE certification is a plus

• Excellent level of Dutch, French and English
