At the moment, we have a job opening for a IT Infrastructure Manager based in our office in Zaventem - Belgium.

Remote work is only possible 2 days / week.

The Role:

The IT Infrastructure Manager manages infrastructure, security, desktop support and ensures the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.

You will be part of a small, international and dynamic team of 3 people and will report to the IT Manager.

 Your responsibilities relate to 3 main domains:

• Network

• Optimize network hardware and software to enable VMware integration

• Troubleshoot and resolve VMware environment issues

• Design and implement new network solutions and improve the efficiency of current networks

• Install, configure and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP

  
  

• Security

• Monitor network infrastructure for performance, availability and security issues of threats

• Main point of contact for the Zaventem office with regard to security threads, issues, or instructions from our headquarters

• Responsible for security policies, updates, and organisation of training with regard to security

  
  

• Hardware / Software

• Resolve Windows operating system related issues and provide technical advice

• Update and install computer operating systems and other software

The ideal candidate ...

• has a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

• can present a minimum of 5 years of previous systems and/or server/network management experience

• has an excellent level in English, good command of Dutch / French is necessary

• is able to work autonomously in this varied generalist role

• has experience configuring and managing Hyper-V or VMware vCenter Server

• is knowledgeable of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS,...)

• demonstrates enterprise active directory/domain controller set up, configuration and troubleshooting experience

• is at ease with configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security

• has experience working with an on-prem environment that is synced to the cloud

• experience with Azure Cloud / disposing of MCSE certification is a plus
